Job Description: The Research Associate will work in a collaborative research program focusing on molecular pathogenic mechanisms and development of effective control strategies for swine viral pathogens. Areas of emphasis include characterizing the structure and function of viral proteins, understanding the mechanisms of interaction between the virus and host immune systems, and developing vaccines and diagnostic assays. The research associate will have responsibility to manage the routine lab activities and coordinate multiple research projects led by the PI in the laboratory.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Interested candidate must possess a M.S. degree and has a strong background in molecular biology, immunology and virology. Two years of relevant experience and excellent English communication skills (written/verbal) are expected.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. degree
